Lexie Has One Too!

This morning Lexie noticed that I had an unusual hole in my belly. Before I could get her dressed after her shower she disappeared. It was unusually quiet, so I decided I had better see what she was up to. I found her sitting in her camp chair investigating!

Rain Drops Keep A Falling

Since today started out as a pretty nice day we decided that it was TIME to do something outdoors. Our horses had just received a brand new set of shinny shoes so we headed up Wolverine canyon for a trail ride. I was a bit nervous about the whole situation. We had several possible things that could make our ride go horribly. First of all the horses hadn't been ridden since last fall, Lexie had never been on a horse ride, and to top it all off I was afraid that we may run into bad weather. Nothing was going to hold Ryan back. He was ready to get out, so away we went! As soon as we got on the mountain the clouds turned grey and the sky started to rumble. I was concerned but regardless we started up the trail. As you can guess, the horses did great, Lexie actually liked to ride, but Mother Nature had something else in mind for the day. We had only ridden a few miles, maybe five or so, when the sky suddenly opened and it started to rain. The truck and trailer where to far away so we hurried to an old abandoned house that we knew was close buy. We waited thirty minutes or so when we were rescued! We ride on private property and the owner had seen us head out. When it started to rain he came to our aide! I was so grateful, Lexie and I caught a ride back in his truck and Ryan rode the horses back in the rain. NOT WHAT WE HAD IN MIND!
little girl, BIG HORSE! She just couldn't figure out how to brush his mane from way up there, but she didn't want to get down either.

Leave her alone, she's fine on the horse as long as its dry.

Two Socks wanted to be in the picture too.

She wants her mom. For some reason she thinks I hold her better.

JuMpInG, UP&down with Dad!

Just a few pictures of Lexie form Payton and Shelby's Graduation Party at Uncle Chads house.

Meow! Lexie's Kitty

A couple of weeks ago, Lexie and I went for a walk down our road. We stopped to take a look at the cows and found a kitten on the side of the ditch. Of course we had to bring it home and Ryan was absolutely thrilled about it, but he has learned to deal because Lexie LOVES IT!!! We named him, "Boots". I know its very originally, but it is a word that Lexie can attempt to say. She wakes up from bed meowing if she can hear him on the porch and if he's in eyes view from a window its hard to keep her inside.
She loves to pull his tail, poor kitty!
This picture is was just too cute to leave out.

Just A Swingin'

These are some of my favorite pictures. Lexie loves to go outside and swing, especially with her dad. I don't have the patience to sit on that tiny little board that's made for a 10 year old. (If only my bum was a little smaller). I always put Lexie in our little-tike's swing. I guess the little swing just isn't as exciting because Lexie prefers the big kids swing. I decided to let her swing by herself, she loved it and did really good. You can tell that she is absolutely so proud of herself for being such a big girl.

WhItE TrASh sWimMing PoOl!!!

That's right we are the ultimate Idaho White Trash, and I must say I'm proud of it. Why take your child to a swimming pool? Flood irrigate and swimming is totally FREE. Lexie loves the water and she gets really excited when we go outside and she finds the lawns covered in water. It's really hard to keep her out of it so we strip her down and just let her go for it. I couldn't ask for better entertainment. The day we took these pictures our neighbor girl, Jessica came out to play. She brought along her goggles, Lexie thought they were pretty cool. She carried them around for quite sometime and then brought them to me insisting that I put them on her. I was a bit worried about what actions would follow next. Lexie had watched Jessica several times put her head under water in the deep places (which is only to mid calf, if your lucky) and I was fearful that she would try this foolish maneuver. Instead she marched over to the horses to show her goggles off to Waco, what a SiLly GiRl.
